Google Antigravity release notes: 2.23.0 adds zip attachments

Google Antigravity 2.23.0 lets you attach zip archives to a prompt. The agent unpacks the archive with its tools. You can also add a folder through the + menu in the message box. The change applies to the standalone Antigravity app, Google's workspace for AI agents, and is dated October 12, 2026.

Google Antigravity release notes: zip archives and folder attachments

A zip archive bundles several files into one compressed file. This support lets you attach a collection of source material instead of adding each file individually.

Human step: Attach a zip archive to the prompt, or use the + menu in the message box to add a folder. Then describe what the agent should do with its contents.

Google says new versions roll out gradually and may take a few days to reach all users. The release notes do not specify an archive size limit or promise support for every file format an archive might contain.

Short example: use the new Antigravity feature

Once the material is attached, ask the agent to inventory it:

Unpack the attached zip archive and inventory its contents. Group files by subject and cite the filename for each summary. List any files you could not read separately. Do not change the original files.

Check that the response:

  • Cites actual filenames in the archive.
  • Separates content it read from files it could not read.

This prompt is a suggested use, not a ready-made Google template.
