You can also use /checkup prompt-audit. This is a command inside Claude Code, not a separate terminal command or a prompt asking the agent to launch the audit.

The report prioritizes stale paths, stale commands, and instruction files that contradict each other. It preserves thinking keywords that Claude Code documents rather than treating all such wording as outdated.

What to check in the report

Start with one concrete finding: does the path still exist, does the command work, and which instruction should apply if two files disagree? That gives you a specific basis for updating the project's instructions.

The release notes describe auditing and reporting. They do not state that the command automatically fixes every file or proves that the instructions work better afterward. Check proposed changes against how the project actually works.
